SKINMETICS CLINIC AUSTRALIA – TERMS & CONDITIONS


General Terms & Conditions (All Services)
By booking or receiving any treatment with Skinmetics Clinic Australia, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
You confirm that all information provided regarding your medical history, medications, skin conditions, allergies, and lifestyle factors is accurate and up to date.
Failure to disclose relevant information may increase the risk of adverse reactions, and Skinmetics Clinic Australia is not liable in these cases.
All treatments are performed with professional care; however, results vary between individuals and are influenced by factors including skin type, hormones, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare. Results are not guaranteed.
You acknowledge that all aesthetic treatments carry potential risks including (but not limited to): redness, swelling, irritation, burns, blistering, pigmentation changes, infection, or unsatisfactory results.
You agree to follow all pre- and post-treatment instructions. Failure to do so (including sun exposure, fake tan, use of active products, or incorrect aftercare) may increase the risk of complications, and the clinic is not liable in these case
You confirm your skin is free from fake tan and excessive sun exposure prior to treatment. Failure to disclose this significantly increases the risk of burns or pigmentation, and the clinic is not liable.
You must disclose any medications or products that may increase skin sensitivity (including photosensitising medications). The clinic is not liable where this has not been disclosed.
Multiple sessions or ongoing maintenance may be required to achieve and maintain results.

No refunds are provided for:
Change of mind
Dissatisfaction with results
Incomplete treatment courses
Expected or disclosed side effects

Skinmetics Clinic Australia reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time if deemed unsafe or unsuitable.
You release Skinmetics Clinic Australia and its therapists from liability for any adverse reactions where treatment has been performed correctly and/or where aftercare or disclosure requirements have not been met.

Expected Reactions & No Refund for Treatment Outcomes
By proceeding with any treatment, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Many treatments involve a natural healing response, which may include (but is not limited to): redness, swelling, tenderness, sensitivity, bruising, dryness, flaking, peeling, temporary lumps, breakouts, heat in the skin, or darkening of pigmentation.
These responses are common, expected, and part of the treatment process, even if not experienced by all clients.
The severity and duration of these reactions vary between individuals, and may last from a few hours to several days or, in some cases, longer depending on the treatment and individual response.
Experiencing these side effects does not indicate that the treatment has been performed incorrectly.
Expected or temporary side effects are not grounds for a refund, credit, or compensation under any circumstances.
Treatment outcomes, healing responses, and side effects cannot be guaranteed or predicted.
Failure to follow aftercare instructions may increase the severity or duration of these reactions, and the clinic is not liable in these cases.

How to Book
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure an appointment.
A tentative booking will only be held for 10 minutes. If the deposit is not made within this time, the booking will be automatically released.
If no deposit is paid, your appointment is not secured and not confirmed in our system.
Once the deposit is paid, a confirmation/reminder SMS will be sent via Fresha. Confirmation of this message secures your appointment.
Please arrive on time to your appointment. We do not take clients earlier than scheduled.
Deposits are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable to another person under any circumstances.
Deposits secure the clinic’s time and resources and apply even in cases of contraindications, incorrect preparation, or inability to proceed with treatment.

Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for ensuring they are prepared for their treatment (including shaving, no fake tan, no sun exposure, and no contraindications).
Failure to meet treatment requirements may result in the session being forfeited.
Clients must research treatments or contact the clinic prior to booking if unsure about suitability.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule appointments. 15% surcharge applies on public holidays
Cancellations or reschedules made within 48 hours will result in loss of deposit.
Appointments longer than 2 hours may be charged 100% of the service fee if cancelled within 48 hours.
Illness, Covid, traffic, or inability to attend does not override this policy.

Monday & Sunday cancellations must be emailed.

Late Arrivals
Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their appointment cancelled and deposit/session forfeited.

No Show Policy
No shows result in full loss of deposit.
Pre-paid package clients will forfeit the full session.

Refund Policy
Due to the nature of aesthetic treatments:
No refunds for:
Change of mind
Dissatisfaction with results
Incomplete treatments
Expected side effects

Pre-Paid Packages
Packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Valid for 12 months from purchase date.
Less than 48 hours notice = forfeit of session.

Gift Vouchers
Valid for 3 years
Non-refundable and non-transferable
Late cancellations = forfeit of voucher value used

Complimentary Treatments
Valid for 3 months only
No cash value
Cannot be extended or transferred

Laser Hair Removal, IPL & Advanced Treatments Policy
Clients must attend fully prepared (shaved where required, no fake tan, no sun exposure).
If fake tan or sun exposure is present, the session will be forfeited due to safety risks.
If large areas are not shaved, the area will be forfeited.
Small areas may incur a $20 shaving fee.
If contraindications are identified at consultation, the session will be forfeited.

Contraindications & Suitability
If a client books a treatment and is found to be unsuitable at consultation, the appointment will be forfeited as clinic time has been allocated.

COVID / Illness Policy
Covid/flu is considered a known circumstance.
Less than 48 hours notice = forfeit of deposit/session

Credit Policy
Approved credits are valid for 12 months only

Groupon Bookings
Standard 48-hour cancellation policy applies
No shows = full voucher forfeited
Vouchers are non-transferable

Training & Model Bookings
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable
No shows impact trainees and will not be refunded

Room Rentals
Full payment required upfront
Less than 72 hours notice = 100% forfeited

Zero Tolerance Policy
Skinmetics Clinic Australia has a zero tolerance policy towards:
Aggression
Abuse
Threats
Harassment
Disrespectful behaviour
This includes in person, phone, or written communication.

Any breach may result in:
Immediate refusal of service
Permanent ban
Police involvement if required

Promotions & Offers
Promotions must be applied at time of booking
Cannot be added retrospectively
Not valid with other offers or packages
Non-transferable and not redeemable for cash

Final Agreement
By booking, paying a deposit, or attending an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms & Conditions outlined above.
